5. Pricing, VAT & Taxes

UK Buyers

  • Prices may include or exclude VAT, which will be clearly stated.
  • Where VAT applies, it will be shown on the invoice.

International Buyers

  • Prices are generally exclusive of VAT, unless otherwise stated.
  • VAT exemption may apply for exports outside the UK, subject to legal requirements.
  • Import taxes, customs duties, local VAT, and registration fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

6. Payments

  • A deposit or full payment may be required to secure a boat.
  • Accepted payment methods will be communicated during the transaction.
  • Full payment must clear before ownership transfer.
  • RID BOAT reserves the right to cancel a transaction if payment is not received.

7. International Shipping & Transport

  • RID BOAT may assist with transport arrangements upon request.
  • Shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • Transport providers are third parties unless otherwise stated.
  • Customs clearance, import documentation, and compliance with local regulations are the buyer’s responsibility unless agreed in writing.

8. Inspection & Acceptance Policy (Critical Clause)

When the boat arrives at the agreed inspection location:

  • The buyer is granted a 6-hour inspection period to:
    • Inspect the boat
    • Test systems and equipment
    • Verify condition and specifications

After inspection:

a) Acceptance

  • If the buyer agrees to keep the boat:
    • The Bill of Sale is signed and sealed
    • Ownership transfers to the buyer
    • Risk and responsibility pass to the buyer
    • The sale becomes final and non-refundable

b) Rejection

  • If the buyer does not agree to keep the boat:
    • The boat is returned to RID BOAT
    • A full refund of the purchase price is issued

This inspection policy exists because we are confident in the quality of our boats.


9. Transfer of Ownership & Risk

  • Ownership transfers only after:
    • Successful inspection
    • Full payment received
    • Bill of Sale signed
  • Risk transfers to the buyer upon acceptance after inspection.

10. Refund Policy

Refunds are available only if:

  • The buyer rejects the boat within the inspection period
  • The agreed boat cannot be delivered

Refunds are processed using the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.


11. Storage Services (If Applicable)

  • Stored boats remain the property of the owner.
  • Storage fees must be paid as agreed.
  • RID BOAT is not responsible for loss or damage caused by force majeure events.

12. Warranty & Liability

  • Boats are sold as inspected, unless stated otherwise.
  • Manufacturer warranties, if any, remain subject to manufacturer terms.
  • No implied warranties apply beyond what is legally required.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • RID BOAT is not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • Liability is limited to the purchase price of the boat
  • We are not responsible for misuse or improper maintenance after acceptance

14. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Transport delays
  • Customs or regulatory actions
  • Government restrictions

15. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, images, branding, and logos, is the property of RID BOAT and may not be copied or used without written permission.
